Forep carries research to provide scientific information and apply scientific knowledge to help chart a sustainable course for the world’s forests and wildlife. Through an all-inclusive approach that considers both natural resource issues affecting forest ecosystems as well as social, institutional, economic, political and legal aspects affecting conservation practice.

Forep seeks to reduce natural resource degradation, improve human well-being and safeguard community rights while promoting just governance and local development within a global context.
